New details have emerged about concerns surrounding Hayden Panettiere’s former relationship with Brian Hickerson. According to an exclusive report from TMZ, residents at Panettiere’s West Hollywood condominium complex were reportedly instructed to call 911 if Hickerson was seen on the property.
Former neighbor Mia Terrazas told TMZ that the building’s homeowners association posted a warning featuring Hickerson’s photo in August 2025. According to her account, residents were told not to allow him into the building and to contact police immediately if he appeared there. Terrazas said the warning followed years of alleged disturbances connected to Hickerson.
HOA Warning Reportedly Followed Years of Complaints
Terrazas, who said she lived next door to Panettiere, told TMZ that Hickerson had reportedly been living at the condominium for around two years. She said the HOA eventually removed the warning poster about a week after it was displayed after she was told Hickerson was no longer considered a threat.
Terrazas also told Inside Edition that she was “terrified” of Hickerson and had contacted 911 multiple times over alleged disturbances at Panettiere’s residence. These claims have been attributed to Terrazas and were not independently verified by the report.

Hickerson was previously arrested in 2020 in connection with an alleged assault involving Panettiere. TMZ reported that he later pleaded no contest to felony domestic violence charges and served jail time. The history of the relationship had previously drawn public attention because of Panettiere’s own accounts of the abuse she said she experienced.
The new report comes days after Panettiere’s death at age 36. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death, while the official cause has not yet been determined.
Panettiere was found unresponsive in South Carolina, and authorities confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing. ABC News reported that the Heroes and Nashville star died at 36, with further findings expected as investigators continue their work.
