Kanye West, now known as Ye, performed at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans without addressing the detention of Milo Yiannopoulos, an executive associated with his business operations. The concert took place one day after Yiannopoulos was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Louisiana.

According to TMZ, Ye performed for around two and a half hours and did not publicly mention Yiannopoulos during the show. Video obtained by the outlet showed the rapper performing in a red outfit and a mask while delivering several of his best-known songs.

Ye Keeps Superdome Show Focused on Music

Ye reportedly performed hits including “Through the Wire,” “Jesus Walks” and “Good Life” during the New Orleans concert. At one point, Ty Dolla $ign joined him on stage, with the two performing a mashup that included music connected to the Backstreet Boys and “Return of the Mack.”

The concert went ahead as Yiannopoulos remained in ICE custody. The British commentator was detained after allegedly overstaying his visa and failing to appear for an immigration hearing, which resulted in a final removal order.

The Department of Homeland Security said Yiannopoulos had legally entered the United States in 2019 but had remained in the country beyond his authorized stay. As of the latest reports, he was expected to remain in ICE custody pending removal proceedings.

Despite the controversy surrounding Yiannopoulos’ detention, Ye made no public comments about the situation during his Superdome performance. Instead, the New Orleans concert proceeded as a music-focused event, with neither Ye nor Ty Dolla $ign addressing the developing immigration case.
