Presley Gerber reportedly appeared to be under the influence when he entered a Santa Monica rehabilitation facility shortly before his death, according to sources cited by TMZ.
The 27-year-old model reportedly arrived at the facility on Saturday night while seeking help for substance abuse issues. Sources who had contact with Gerber during his final hours told TMZ that he did not appear to be sober when he checked in.
Gerber was found unresponsive at the facility the following morning. According to the Santa Monica Police Department, officers responded to a suspected overdose call at approximately 9:35 a.m. and attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead roughly 10 minutes later.
Authorities are investigating Gerber’s death as a suspected drug overdose, although an official cause of death has not yet been released. Police have also said that no foul play is suspected.
Gerber’s family, including his mother Cindy Crawford, father Rande Gerber and sister Kaia Gerber, has asked for privacy while mourning his death.
