Shivon Zilis has publicly addressed the reported end of her relationship with Elon Musk, saying she was left blindsided after the billionaire apparently ended their relationship without warning. Zilis shared the update on X on October 2, shortly after Musk unfollowed her on the platform.
Rather than directing anger toward Musk, Zilis’ post focused largely on their years together and the four children they share. She described the sudden change as painful, particularly because the pair had apparently been communicating affectionately only days earlier.
“It’s hard to go from in love to let go in a week with no warning, but that’s just how it is sometimes,”
Zilis wrote.
Zilis Shares Recent Messages With Musk
Zilis also published a screenshot of an alleged recent text conversation between herself and Musk. According to the reports, the exchange showed Musk referring to Zilis as his “significant other” and expressing his love for her as recently as September 24.
The disclosure offers a look into how quickly the reported relationship change occurred. Zilis’ public comments suggest she did not expect the relationship to end so abruptly.
Despite the circumstances, she emphasized that she remains grateful for what the relationship brought into her life. Zilis wrote that she had loved Musk deeply and credited their relationship with giving her significant personal experiences and four children.
Zilis and Musk are parents to four children. Their family includes twins Strider and Azure, born in 2021, followed by Arcadia in 2024 and Seldon Lycurgus, whose birth was announced in 2025.
Zilis said the children remain central to how she views the situation and expressed hope that she and Musk can maintain some form of relationship as they continue raising them.
“I’ve loved him more than life itself,”
she wrote, while describing their four children as
“beautiful little loves of my life.”
Zilis ended her statement on a notably supportive note despite describing herself as hurt by the breakup.
“I’m hurting, but care deeply about E and will always be cheering for his happiness,”
she wrote, referring to Musk before wishing him well.
Musk has not publicly commented on the reported split, according to reports from Business Insider.
