Taylor Frankie Paul’s custody battle with ex-husband Tate Paul has taken another legal turn, with Tate asking a court to make Taylor’s drug test results public. According to TMZ, Tate filed the request on August 13 as the former couple continues their dispute over their children, Indy and Ocean.
The filing follows an earlier request from Tate for a restraining order involving Taylor. Tate has sought sole legal and physical custody, while Taylor has denied his allegations.
A judge later ordered Taylor to undergo drug testing as part of the custody proceedings. Under the arrangement reported by TMZ, she could continue having unsupervised visits with her children unless a test returned a positive result, in which case those visits would become supervised.
Tate’s latest motion seeks to unseal those results, but the report does not indicate what the tests showed. That distinction is important, as the request to release the records does not itself establish any drug use by Taylor.
The dispute has involved allegations from both sides. TMZ previously reported that people close to Taylor believe her former boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, has been providing Tate with allegations that contributed to his decision to pursue additional court action. Taylor is also involved in a separate custody dispute with Mortensen.
The court has yet to publicly disclose whether Tate’s request to unseal the drug test results will be granted.
