Travis Scott is facing a new civil lawsuit stemming from an alleged altercation aboard a luxury yacht in Miami in 2024. The legal action, filed by members of the yacht’s crew, alleges the rapper became violent after being denied access to a jet ski and later assaulted multiple workers before police intervened.
According to TMZ, the lawsuit claims Scott chartered the yacht with several guests, security personnel, and alcohol. The dispute allegedly began when the yacht’s captain refused Scott’s request to use a jet ski, believing he appeared too intoxicated.
Crew details alleged confrontation aboard the yacht
Court documents cited by TMZ state that Scott ordered the captain to head to a nearby marina before jumping from the yacht onto the dock, leaving his guests onboard for around 30 minutes. After returning, the captain claims Scott became confrontational, prompting the crew to end the charter and ask everyone to leave the vessel.
The lawsuit alleges the situation then escalated into a physical confrontation. Crew members claim Scott attacked the captain, threatened to kill him by saying he was “dead,” and allegedly fired a security guard after the guard attempted to calm the situation.

The plaintiffs further allege that additional marina workers who arrived to help were also assaulted. According to the complaint, Scott charged toward crew members, striking two workers with his shoulder and causing one woman to fall into a table and suffer injuries. The lawsuit also accuses him of preventing workers from leaving the yacht until police arrived.
The plaintiffs are seeking damages for battery, assault, false imprisonment, and other claims.
The civil lawsuit follows Scott’s June 2024 arrest in Miami, during which he faced disorderly intoxication and trespassing charges. Those criminal charges were later dismissed by prosecutors, but the latest filing shifts the dispute into civil court.
At the time of publication, Scott’s representatives had not publicly responded to the lawsuit.
