Pawn Stars star Rick Harrison has been discharged from the hospital and is continuing his recovery at home following emergency bypass surgery. The 61-year-old reality television personality was initially admitted for what doctors expected to be a routine stent procedure, but the medical team discovered a more serious issue that required bypass surgery instead.
According to TMZ, a spokesperson for Harrison’s family confirmed that he was released from the hospital on September 7 and is now resting at home.

“Today, Rick was discharged from the hospital and is now resting at home. By all accounts, he’s now doing great,”
the family spokesperson told TMZ.
Harrison’s family had previously said that he was resting comfortably following the unexpected surgery, with his wife Angie and other family members by his side. The latest update indicates that his recovery is progressing after the more serious procedure.
Harrison has been a central figure on History’s Pawn Stars since the reality series premiered in 2009. The show follows Harrison and his family as they evaluate and negotiate deals involving collectibles, antiques and historical memorabilia at the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas.
The television personality has continued making public appearances and working on projects outside the show. His latest health update comes months after TMZ spoke with him about the potential value of memorabilia from the White House.
